Quote of the Day

QOTD Sheep

“It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.” – Herman Melville

Mr. Melville is best known for his sea adventure, Moby Dick. Most of his writings were published between 1846 and 1857. He was almost forgotten during the last thirty years of his life. Moby Dick was not a commercial success until after Herman had passed. He was a versed and well travel sailor. He wrote what he loved vs simply following the works and patters of writers in his day.

What are you working on now that may not be wildly accepted? Are you pushing the boundaries with ideas in technology, farming or social circles? Don’t be afraid to stay away from the masses and work on something you love.

Cheers!
